Introduction to Rwanda

Set in the shadow of the Virunga Volcanoes and the Albertine branch of the African Rift Valley, Rwanda is famous as the best place to walk amongst a family of gorillas. Considered the pinnacle of immersive nature experiences anywhere on the planet, to see mountain gorillas in the wild is a lifetime experience not to be missed. You'll also find dozens of other species of primates living in ancient forests, become captivated by the impressive birding and will enjoy remarkable safaris where you can watch the lions and other predators without being disturbed by other tourists. However, as amazing as this is, there is so much more to experience as well.

Here, you can also enjoy numerous quality outdoor activities like hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and mountain biking that are operated by Kingfisher Journeys' own experienced leaders while you are immersed in the culture that brings a visit to this fascinating country to life.
