A Future for Gorillas

The Ellen DeGeneres Campus
of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund

To visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund is to see gorilla conservation in action. Building on Dian Fossey's pioneering work, now that gorilla populations of the Virunga Volcanoes are slowly increasing and their habitats are being protected, this centre is a highly recommended, remarkable place to visit.

The Ellen Campus is open 7 days a week from 09:00 to 17:00. Last entry for self guided tours is at 16:00. Self-guided tours require a suggested donation, which can be paid in advance or on arrival. There are also minimum donations for VIP Behind the Scene Tours and a Silverback Sundowner evening with the Fossey Fund staff, that we recommend you book directly with the Ellen Campus in advance.

The Gorilla Fund requests that donations are made directly by clients, so with regret, we are unable to make bookings. Using the links below, you can however, register, donate and then contact the Ellen Campus to arrange your own visit.

Prices shown in USD including all Rwandan taxes. To Pay in RWF, request an offline booking see Payment Options for details.
Foreign medical insurance is not sufficient to cover helicopter evacuation in Rwanda so all our tours include emergency evacuation insurance as standard. We also strongly recommend emergency evacuation insurance to everyone travelling in Rwanda.
We pay fair wages and always contribute to the pensions, maternity and community health schemes for everyone who works for us.
